What A Third Outing

You guys are not going to believe this.

This was only the third time out and I was able to do something with my detector that is going to be hard to beat in the future.

What a great day on the beach, my biggest find, probably that’s ever going to happen too. First I combed the area that we had set up to take our son swimming with a friend of ours and her mom. I’ll be honest and say I was super impressed with the cleanliness of this beach today as I didn’t find to much of anything, let alone much in the way of garbage.

At first I spent 20 minutes or so in our immediate area and found nothing. That was a good sign for me as The past couple benches we went to were disgusting. Infact at the end of the day, I combed approx %70 of the entire beach and never came across a bottle cap. I dug up 2 pull tabs a couple pieces of wire and a few odds and ends but all in all what a very clean beach. The locals of Amhurst Island should be very proud.

Although my partner took over from me for a little while and immediately dug up a toy car out of the sand lol. When our friend Danielle and her mom left us for the day, she ran into a women further down the beach in distress. She said that she had lost her sister, who had recently passed away”S, wedding ring on the beach.

Our friend sent the women down the beach to ask me if I’d help her look for it. (She said her name was Sarah) Of course I took the opportunity to help and when we got to the area she said they were at all day, it took all of about 30 seconds for me to find it for her. My first ring find, and I didn’t even get a picture of it. You’ll have to take my word that it was a very expensive looking ring. I wish I had my camera with me at the time. Anyway I’m just glad the woman got her ring back.

After searching online for what I thought was a decent representation of what I had found in the sand, here is roughly what it looked like. although I don’t remember any diamonds going down the side of the band. The one in the picture was worth $41k lol.

What we went home with tho was much more valuable. We left there with a few items dug out of the sand,

A crying tired baby, who had a blast all day long. Swimming, eating, and just being naked in his play pen.

And memories with our boy you can never buy or find with a detector.
